Marie Cox Saums

Marie Cox Saums, age 98 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at her residence.

Born in Belleville, NJ, February 7, 1912, daughter of the late Frank and Marie Bossong Cox Saums, she had resided in Readington Township for the past seventy-five years and was a homemaker.

A graduate of Lambertville High School, Mrs. Saums was a longtime member of the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Three Bridges, NJ.

Her husband, Floyd C. Saums, died in 1980. She was also pre-deceased by two sisters, Ruth Hargreaves and Dorothy Gray; and a brother, Frank Cox.

Surviving are a son, Floyd C. Saums of Readington Township, NJ; a daughter, Shirley Rovinski of Flemington, NJ; a brother, Rev. Dr. Howard H. Cox of Bethlehem, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will take place Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Main Street, Three Bridges, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Three Bridges Cemetery, Three Bridges, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
