Marie E. Tucker, age 84 years, of Frenchtown, NJ, died on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Hoboken, NJ, May 26, 1922, she had formerly resided in Clearwater, FL.
She was a 1940 graduate of Flemington High School.
She was a lifelong member and former Past Master of the Locktown Grange, Locktown, NJ. She was a VFW volunteer at the Lyons VA Hospital, Lyons, NJ for over twenty years. She was an active member of the Cherryville Baptist Church, Cherryville, NJ.
She had a passion for housekeeping, and was an avid gardener.
Surviving are her husband, Archie Tucker; three sons, George Tirpok and wife Carol of Triangle, NY, Peter Tirpok and wife Terry of Flemington, NJ, and Robert Tirpok of Aiken, SC; a stepson, Lee Tucker and wife Michelle of Durham, NC; a step-daughter, Valerie Cipoletti and husband Richard of Allentown, PA; three sisters, Betty Tinnes of Pittstown, NJ, Katherine Haritos of Safety Harbor, FL, and Emma Case of Broadbecks, PA; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Memorial Sevices will be held Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in Cherryville Baptist Church, Cherryville, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
