Marie F. Komarek

Marie F. Komarek, age 88, died Friday, May 2, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Joan Komarek, in Phoenixville, PA.

Born January 27, 1926, in New York City to Frank and Antoinette (Sradeja) Fiala, she lived in Somerville, NJ for many years, as well as Barbertown, NJ before retiring to Florida and then to Phoenixville to be closer to her family.

Marie worked as a Secretary for Ethicon in Somerville and she enjoyed travelling with her late husband, Stephen Komarek, throughout the United States and Europe. She spent countless hours with her many embroidery projects, but, most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Marie was predeceased by her husband Stephen T. Komarek in 2005 and her son, Stephen F. Komarek in 2009.

She is survived by her son, Thomas R. Komarek of Phoenixville, PA, her daughter, Joan Komarek of Phoenixville, PA, and her three grandchildren, Megan Komarek of Boston, MA, Brandon Komarek and Brock Komarek who both reside in Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Friends may call the hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home.
