Marie R. Stryker, age 96 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Thursday, February 15, 2007, at her residence.
Born in Emmaville, PA, May 3, 1910, daughter of the late John and Rose Deshong Bard, she had formerly resided in Three Bridges, NJ and had resided in Flemington forty-four years.
She was formerly employed in the Three Bridges School Cafeteria and later at the cafeteria of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington, NJ.
Also a former waitress at the Union Hotel, Flemington, NJ, Mrs. Stryker was a member of the Three Bridges Reformed Church; Darcy Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star of Flemington, NJ; and was a former member of the Readington Township PTA.
Her first husband, Elston R. Mattison, died in 1952 and her second husband, Harry E. Stryker, died in 2004.
Surviving are one son, Franklin Mattison of Bradford Woods, PA; two daughters, Betty March of Danbury, CT and Muriel Stillwell of Lebanon, NJ; a step-son, John Stryker of Raritan Township, NJ; eight grandchildren; and ten great granchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Three Bridges Cemetery, Three Bridges, NJ.
