Marilyn A. Stewart, age 85 years, of Raritan Township, NJ died on May 16, 2014 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, January 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Dr. John Monfort and Frances Keller Monfort. She had formerly lived in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Flemington, NJ.

Marilyn worked in sales for the Flemington Fur Exchange, Flemington, NJ and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Visiting Homemakers.

She was a longtime member of the Flemington Elks and the American Legion.

Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Samuel Stewart in 1986. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sue Stewart of Flemington, NJ, Glenn and Cindy Stewart of Manahawkin, NJ, Gordon and Shelly Stewart of Washington, NJ; one daughter Susan Strober of Jackson, NJ; a sister and brother-in-law Joni and Douglas Craig of Ponce Inlet, FL and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home.
