Marilyn E. Jackson, age 85 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, January 28, 2010 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Newark, NJ, daughter of the late Arthur and Theresa Schweizer Jackson, she had resided in Raritan Township for twenty years, having formerly lived in East Windsor Township, NJ.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, she went on to receive her Masters in Library Science from Rutgers University. Ms. Jackson was a former teacher as well as employed by AT&T. Additionally, she was a Technical Librarian with Lucent Technologies, Murray Hill and Princeton, NJ.

Ms. Jackson was a member and former Deacon of the Flemington Presbyterian Church, and was a Past-President of its Womens Association. She was a member of the Flemington Womans Club, the University of North Carolina and Rutgers University Alumni Associations, and an avid supporter of the University of North Carolina Library.

Surviving are a sister, Virginia McCrann of Raritan Township, NJ; two nieces and a nephew; three great nieces and nephews; and seven great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822 under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
