Marion R. Ventolo

Marion Rita Ventolo, loving wife and mother, age 67 years, of Alexandria Township, NJ, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Monday, February 1, 2010, at home with her family at her bedside.

Born in Newark, NJ, December 15, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Francis B. and Marion Rita Mills Rowe. She had formerly resided in Delaware Township, NJ.

She was retired from the Hunterdon County Board of Social Services Fiscal Department.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Thomas Brady. Surviving are her husband of forty-eight years, Raymond Ventolo; two daughters, Kathleen Kilgore of Flemington, NJ, and Maria Opdyke of Flemington, NJ; her sister and brother-in-law, Bernadette and Richard Stypula of Plant City, FL; her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Laura Rowe of Gales Ferry, CT; and two grandchildren, Jennifer Kilgore and Joseph Opdyke.

Marion will especially be remembered for her kind generosity and endless creativity. Her artistic creations varied from painting to stained glass, sewing, clay sculptures, and beaded jewelry. She donated many of her creations to organizations.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 10 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Pittstown, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
