Marion V. Leaver

Marion Leaver, age 95 years, of Pittstown, NJ, died Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Country Arch Care Center, Pittstown, NJ.

Born in Everittstown, NJ, May 12, 1923, daughter of the late J. Arthur and Frances Meyers Wilson, she had resided in Hunterdon County all her life.

She was a farmer’s wife for many years and then became a cafeteria aide at the Franklin Township School and later at the Woodglen School, Lebanon Township, NJ.

A member of the United Methodist Church since 1936, she was currently a member of the Flemington United Methodist Church since 1987 and a member of the Quakertown Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She also attended Frenchtown High School.

Her husband, Albert C. Leaver, Sr., died in 2001. She was also pre-deceased by her siblings, Leslie Arthur Wilson, Gertrude Puterbaugh, and George Wilson.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Jack Arthur and Joyce Leaver of Ashland, KY, Albert Clifton and Diana Leaver, Jr. of Ewing, NJ and Jeffrey Alan and Tracy Leaver of Pittstown, NJ; two brothers, Lloyd Wilson of Pittstown, NJ and Roger Wilson of West Palm Beach, FL.; two sisters, Betty Lawson of Bradenton, Fl and Shirley Schoonover of Matamoras, PA; seven grandchildren, Douglas, Cheryl, David, Karen, Valerie, Janine and Linnea; fifteen great grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 23, 2018, at 2:00PM in the Flemington United Methodist, Main Street and Maple Avenue, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday 12Noon-2:00PM at the church.
