Marjorie H. Cervenka, age 88, died Sunday, November 23, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Kingwood, NJ, January 29, 1926, daughter of the late Horace and Talitha Snyder Smith, she had resided in Hunterdon County all her life.
A graduate of Frenchtown High School, Marjorie was a farmer with her late husband, Gerald Cervenka, and also operated Cervenka's Farm and Farm Stand, near Cherryville for many years.
She was a member of the Cherryville Baptist Church.
Her husband, Gerald, died in 2012. She was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Shannon Marie Cervenka, a brother, Marvin Smith, and a sister, Myrtle Aten.
Surviving are three children and their spouses, George and Deborah Cervenka of Cherryville, NJ, Kathleen and John Zullo of Flemington, NJ and Cheryl and Larry Tigar of Pittstown, NJ; seven grandchildren, Tracy Knapp, Dana Zullo Saueressig, Jason Zullo, Christina Cervenka Kall, Amanda Godown Kilinski, Bridgette Godown and Robert Godown, Jr.; and five great grandchildren, Lydia Kilinski, Logan Kall, Luke Kilinski, Giovanni Zullo and Nico Saueressig.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Cherryville Baptist Church, 594 Cherryville Road, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington. Calling hours will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
