Marjorie Landis, age 82 years, of Oxford, NJ, died Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Warren Haven Rehab & Nursing Center, Oxford, NJ where she had resided since 2016.
Marjorie was born in Somerville, NJ, October 30, 1939, daughter of the late Francis and Lillian Emery Hultz, and had formerly resided in Three Bridges, NJ, Sergeantsville, NJ, Rowlett, Texas and Broadway, NJ, before moving to Oxford, NJ.
She was a 1958 graduate of Frenchtown High School and was a telephone operator for United Telephone Co., Clinton, NJ for thirty-one years. Marjorie was also a school bus driver for Delaware Township School for nine years and East Amwell Township School for two years.
She was a member of the Amwell Church of the Brethren, Delaware Township, NJ where she was also a member of the church’s Busy Bees. She was also a member of the Riverside Grange, Three Bridges, NJ.
Her husband, Rev. George Landis, died in 1998. She was also pre-deceased by her sister, Grace Heininger.
Surviving are two nieces and two nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Lower Amwell Cemetery, Sandbrook-Headquarters Road, Delaware Township, NJ with Pastor Robert DiSalvio officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Amwell Church of The Brethren, 40 Sandbrook-Headquarters Road, Stockton, NJ 08559.
