Marjorie Stryker Hunt, age 97 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at her residence.
Born in Ringoes, NJ, August 13, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Holcombe Danberry. She was a lifelong resident of the Ringoes, NJ area.
She was a gradaute of Rider College, Lawrenceville, NJ, and was a bookkeeper at Danberry's Garage, Ringoes, NJ.
She was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church of Amwell, and served as the organist there for over sixty years. She was a member of the Ringoes Grange and the Hunterdon County Republican Club.
Mrs. Hunt was pre-deceased by her first husband, Adonis Stryker, in 1975, her second husband, Elmer Hunt, in 1985, and a son, James Stryker, in 2005. Surviving are two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Patricia Hunt of East Amwell Township, NJ, and Robert and Sylvia Hunt of Hopewell, NJ; a step-daughter and son-in-law, Peg and David Stouppe of Allentown, NJ; a brother, Charles Danberry of Ringoes, NJ; ten grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larisons
Corner, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-5 PM in the funeral home.
