Marta C. Johanson

Marta C. Johanson, age 90 years, of Stanton, NJ, died Thursday, August 4, 2016, at her home.

Born in Sweden, January 18, 1926, daughter of the late Gunnar and Helga Bothen, she had resided here since 1977.

Marta was formerly Secretary/Treasurer for Viking Superior. Marta was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Flemington, NJ and the VASA Order of America.

Her husband, Sven Johanson, died in 2012.

Surviving are a daughter, Maud Wennstrom; two sons, Roger Johanson and Carl Johanson; and her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Pierre, Mikael, Sussana, Derek, Brett, Elaine, Nicole, Kyle, Shawn and Catrina.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 2:00 PM in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201, Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Sweden. Calling hours will be Wednesday 6:00- 8:00 PM at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
