Martin A. Fackelman

Martin A. Fackelman, age 86 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at his home.

Born in Rosemont, NJ, October 11, 1930, son of the late Charles and Helen Roth Fackelman, he had resided in Delaware Township, NJ, most of his life.

Martin was a retired meat cutter, formerly employed by Lambertville Acme; the Case Corner Store, Baptistown, NJ; and for 30 years at Errico’s Quality Market, Stockton, NJ.

Martin served with the 113th Tank Battalion of the New Jersey National Guard. He was a former volunteer for the Stockton Fire Company First Aid Squad and member of the Masonic Lodge, Stockton, NJ.

He was pre-deceased by his daughter-in-law, Barbara Ringhausen Fackelman, who died December 3, 2016. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Helen Zdepski Fackelman; three daughters and sons-in-law: Debra and Tom Kummer of West Chester, PA; Diane and Joseph DeMott of Upper Black Eddy, PA; Darlene Fackelman and Paul Anderson of Newtown, PA; a son, David Fackelman of Tioga, PA; four grandchildren: Melissa and Sarah Santin, and Derrick and Trisha DeMott; and many dear friends.

Cremation services were private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. A celebration of life is being planned by the family in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Westcott Drive, Flemington, NJ.
