Martin E. Nixon

Martin E. Nixon, age 69 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Friday, January 24, 2014, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, October 27, 1944, son of the late Thomas and Margaret Lindquist Nixon, he had resided in Flemington since 1992. A graduate of Raritan Valley Community College, he received his AA in Liberal Arts.

He was a mailroom supervisor for Sureway Air Express, New York City., and also worked many years for the Arthritis Foundation.

Among his survivors are a sister, Mary F. Corsey of Bronx, NY, one niece, three nephews, five grandnieces, three grandnephews, and a host of cherished friends.

Arrangements are private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
