Martin J. Holleran III, age 55, of New York, NY passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York. Born November 17, 1965, in Newark, DE, Marty was the son of Martin and Kathryn (Jordan) Holleran. He graduated from Catholic University and worked as a Sales and Marketing Executive for most of his career. Marty will best be remembered by his colorful personality and his ability to light up a room in any situation. His sense of humor was unmatched. While he did not have children of his own, he loved his nieces and nephews as if they were. In addition to his parents, Marty is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Kim Holleran of Princeton Junction, NJ and their children, Connor, Jack, Bridget, and Ronan; and his sister and brother-in-law, Aileen and John Crowley of Princeton, NJ and their children, John Jr., Megan and Patrick, his furry companion, Nippet, as well as extended family and friends who loved him dearly. Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 10:15 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 94 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ. Interment will take place at 11:45 AM on Saturday March 27, 2021 in Cathedral Cemetery, 1708 Oram Street, Scranton, PA 18504. Anyone planning on attending the graveside service is asked to meet at the cemetery office before being escorted to the grave location. Memorial contributions in Marty’s name can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey, 1384 Perrineville Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ 08822.
