Mary Ann Thomas

Mary Ann Thomas, age 88, died Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Mary was born August 29, 1925 in Irvington, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Emilia (Dolch) Hildner. She worked for many years as a School Aide at St. Ann’s School in Newark, NJ. She was married to the love of her life, Walter Thomas for 68 years, with whom she travelled to nearly every State and Province in the US and Canada, often with their four daughters. Mary often could be found crocheting an afghan blanket or preparing a meal for family members or friends, however, what she adored most was spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her husband, Walter Thomas, and her daughter, Kathleen Thomas of Frenchtown NJ, her daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Jerry Nejman of Frenchtown, NJ, Maryann and Ernest Daw of Denville, NJ, Annmary Thomas and Len Cola of Philadelphia, PA, as well as her four grandchildren, Kathleen and Sean Nejman, and Joshua and Rebecca Daw.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am, Monday, August 25, 2014 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Route 519, Baptistown, NJ 08803. Burial will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There are no calling hours.
