Mary Ann Villani, 96, of Annandale, New Jersey died peacefully at home surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren on August 25, 2024.
Mary was born in Croton, New Jersey in 1928 to the late George and Annie Marsh Pyatt, and was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County.
Mary, who was affectionately nicknamed Woody or Woodrow by close friends and family, had a strong affinity for cats, Jay Leno and a good story. She was known for her quick wit and ever-present perm hairstyle. She dedicated much of her life to ensuring the happiness and wellbeing of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and cats. She was a devoted matriarch that was adored by her family.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Carmen Villani, son Robert Villani and siblings Harold Pyatt, George Pyatt, Eugene Pyatt, William Pyatt, James Pyatt, Helen Ferguson and Elsie Eisele. She is survived by daughters Debra Jelliffe (husband Jake), Susan Villani Carlson, Josie Jensen (husband Ron), son Eugene Villani, grandchildren Daniel Jensen (wife Sarah), Kyle Jensen, Amanda Jensen, Jake Jelliffe (wife Denise), Kari Kimble-Jelliffe (husband Steven), Jamie Santini (husband Matt) and great grandchildren Jasa Kopack, Ryder Kroboth, Nykolette Kimble, Jayden Jelliffe and Bryella Kimble.
Funeral services and interment in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ will be private and under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
