Mary Beth Wene

Mary Beth Wene, age 77 years, of Franklin Township, NJ died on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at her home.

Born in Youngstown, OH on May 18, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Roy N. Cheatham and Margaret Blaich. She had resided in Hunterdon County for the last fifty-four years.

She was employed, as a customer service representative at the Flemington Lowe’s home improvement store.

She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Max D. Shope, Sr., who died in 1969 and Philip T. Wene Jr., who died on April 13, 2013, and her two siblings, Marty, and Jean.

Surviving are her four children; Laura Schnitzer, of Pen Argyl, PA, Max D. Shope, Jr., of Las Vegas, NV, Kelly Nuneviller, of Hillsborough, NC, and Steven Wene, of Ephrata, PA. In addition, she is survived by her four grandchildren; Kyle and Brooke Schnitzer and Alyssa and Kiera Wene, as well as, sister, Ann Hempel, of Barkhamsted CT.

Graveside funeral services and interment will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 11:30 AM in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.

Please be advised that the mask and social distancing mandate must be followed at the cemetery.
