Mary E. Hill, 84, died on November 24, 2017 at South Lake Hospital. She was born in Readington Township, NJ. Ms. Hill moved to Florida in 1985 from Branchburg, NJ.
She was a retired registered nurse who graduated from St. Peter's School of Nursing, New Brunswick, NJ. She received a bachelor's degree in Business Management from St. Joseph's College, N. Windham, ME, and a Master of Arts degree in Occupational Biomechanics & Ergonomics from New York University.
Locally her employment history included Director of Nursing at New Horizon Rehabilitation Center and Palm Garden of Ocala. Ms. Hill was also employed as Occupational Health Programs Manager for Gates Energy Products (currently Energizer) in Alachua, FL and was a case manager for Comprehensive Rehabilitation Associates. She held certifications in nursing administration, case management, insurance rehabilitation specialist, and was licensed by the State of Florida, Division of Worker Compensation as a Rehabilitation Service Provider.
Mary was active in local sanctioned duplicate bridge clubs and a Life Master member of ACBL. She most recently lived at Benton House, Clermont, FL. She previously was active in the New Jersey Club, Singles Club, Pinochle Club, and Mah Jongg group. She was a member of the Ocala Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, the Order of the Eastern Star, and Ocala West United Methodist Church in Florida.
She is survived by two sons, John Hill, Jr. of NJ, Daniel Hill of Windermere, FL, three grandchildren, Vanessa, Daniel, and Matthew, and great grandson, Henry. She was predeceased by sons, Robert Hill and Paul Hill.
Graveside services officiated by the Rev. Philip Pratt will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 15, 2017, at Newell Cemetery, Stanton NJ, under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington NJ.
