Mary L. Corcoran

Mary L. Corcoran, age 96 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, April 5, 2014, in Country Arch Care Center, Union Township, Hunterdon County, NJ.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, November 11, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Karstesen Sutter. She had formerly resided in Roselle, NJ.

She worked at di Zefalo Department Store, Elizabeth, NJ for fifty years. She was a Riveter for General Motors during World War II. She was devoted to her job and family.

Her husband, John Corcoran, died in 1979. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Albert Sutter. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Peterpaul of Flemington, NJ and Jacqueline Deo of Washington Crossing, PA; a son, James Corcoran, of Gillette, NJ; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014, at 10 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
