Mary Morrison

Mary Morrison, age 85 years, of Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at her home.

Born in New York City, NY, June 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret Sheehy Normile. Mary spent her youth in New York City and as an adult lived in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Arizona. She also traveled extensively, living for a time in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; Dordrecht, The Netherlands and London, finally settling down for the past 13 years in Flemington.

Mary was an active member of Flemington Woman's Club and especially enjoyed its international and literary groups. She loved Contract Bridge, playing with several groups in the Flemington area. Mary also relished entertaining, cooking and participating in the Hunterdon County’s Senior Center’s Dine and Chat program—always willing to try new venues and meet new people.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, William S. Morrison, and her son, William S. Morrison III. Surviving are her children: Shauna Morrison, Daniel Morrison, and Michael Morrison; and her grandchildren, Megan Morrison and Elizabeth Sanderson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ. Burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery in Flushing, NY. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
