Matthew Richard Sanquini

Matthew Richard Sanquini, age 20 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, May 3, 2010 at home.

Born in Raritan Township, October 14, 1989, son of Richard D. Sanquini of Manalapan, NJ and Pamela Farley Sanquini of Raritan Township, NJ, he was a lifelong area resident.

A 2008 graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Matthew was a four year varsity wrestling team member, a three year varsity baseball team member and a one year football team member. He was a member of the Flemington Elks Wrestling Club since age five and also was a longtime member of Flemington-Raritan Baseball, where he played on the team that won the Babe Ruth League State Championship in 2004.

Matthew was currently attending Raritan Valley Community College and had formerly attended High Point University in NC and UNC-Greensboro in NC. He was currently employed by BJ's, Raritan Township, NJ as a Member Services Representative.

He was pre-deceased by his Paternal Grandfather, Eugene C. Farley, in 2001.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Erin Sanquini of Raritan Township, NJ; his maternal grandmother, Victoria A. Farley of Bridgewater, NJ; his paternal grandfather, Richard L. Sanquini of Saratoga, CA; his paternal grandmother, Virginia P. Sanquini of Manasquan, NJ; his godparents, Valerie and Scott Ash of Martinsville, NJ; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Fairmount, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home as well as Friday from 10:00-10:30 a.m. in the Church.
