May Furstenburg

May W. Furstenburg, age 89 years, of Islandia, NY died on Friday, June 29, 2007 in Southside Hospital, Bayshore, NY.

Born in Little Neck, NY, April 19, 1918, daughter of the late Daniel R. and Elizabeth Wanser Wright, she had resided in Islandia, NY since 2002, having previously lived in Hallendale Beach, FL for twenty years and Hempstead, NY before that.

She retired after forty years of service as an Administrative Assistant for New York Telephone Company, Hempstead, NY.

Her husband, Norman Furstenburg, died in 2002. She was also pre-deceased by four siblings, Ruth Wright, Louise Baker, Beatrice Oldeack and William Wright.

Surviving are a brother, Daniel E. Wright, Sr. of Hauppauge, NY; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral Services and Interment in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY will be private under the direction of Mrs. Furstenburg’s great nephew, Daniel James (D.J.)
