Melissa Lynn Yerkes, age 54 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, February 13, 2010 in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Born in Trenton, NJ, November 3, 1955, daughter of Dorothy Winecker Bauer and Paul R. Kuhl, both of Raritan Township, NJ, she was a lifelong Hunterdon County resident.
A 1974 graduate of North Hunterdon High School, Mrs. Yerkes went on to receive her B.A. from Moore College of Art, Philadelphia, PA. She was formerly the owner and operator of the Flemington Fair Flea Market. She had also worked for Kuhl Corp. and Flemington Speedway throughout the years.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband of twenty-eight years, William Ross Yerkes, Jr.; two sons, William Ross Yerkes III of Raleigh, NC and Lucas E. Yerkes of Raritan Township, NJ; a brother, Rick Kuhl of Raritan Township, NJ; an uncle, Henry Y. Kuhl of Raritan Township, NJ; and two aunts, Joyce Winecker of Wichita, KS and Marge Winecker of Ringoes, NJ.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
