Michael A. Notarangelo, age 62 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died Friday, February 19, 2021, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Princeton, NJ, May 7, 1958, son of the late Joseph and Mabel Housekeeper Notarangelo, Mike was a 1976 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ.
Mike formerly resided in East Brunswick, NJ, and grew up in Hunterdon County. A gifted athlete, he was NJ State Champion for his Hunterdon Central High School gymnastics team on the pommel horse and also was a member of the Hunterdon Central High School baseball team.
Mike drove a bread truck for twenty years, was a talented chef for several years, and also operated a farm where he started a cottage industry manufacturing soaps and horticultural artistry. Most of all, he was a talented musician and avid guitar player.
Mike was a candidate for congress in 1990 and was a cadet at the US Military Academy, West Point, NY.
He is survived by two sisters, Anna Maria Albanese of Far Hills, NJ and Deanna Ventura of Leesburg, Fl.; three brothers, Joseph Notarangelo of Ringoes, NJ, Ralph Notarangelo of Colonia, NJ and Albert Notarangelo of Delray Beach, FL; his former wife, Sue Hess; two stepchildren, Emily Hess and Riley Hess; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Public graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 9:30 AM in Union Cemetery, Boss Road, Ringoes, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. The family requests as a memorial to Mike that everyone share and listen to his musical talent on Sound Cloud.
