Michael G. Morris, age 66 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Sunday, August 29, 2010, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Bradford, PA, June 22, 1944, he was the son of the late Henry Thompson and Virginia Lynn Smith Morris. He moved to the Ringoes, NJ area in 1969 and then moved to the Stanton section of Readington Township in 1979.

He owned and operated MGM Associates, an appraisal firm, in Flemington, NJ.

He received his BA in History and Economics from Yale University, and his MBA from NYU. He was also a graduate of St. Georges School, Newport, RI.

He was a member of the Flemington Rotary Club, the Yale University Alumni Association, several professional appraisal organizations, and was a former member of the Hunterdon County Tax Board.

A sister, Lynne Morris, died in 1965; Surviving are his wife of thirty-eight years, Helen Russin Morris; two daughters, Jocelyn Awender of San Carlos, CA, and Ashley Goldsmith of San Jose, CA; a brother, David Morris of Pennington, NJ; and four grandchildren: Madeline Goldsmith, Hannah Goldsmith, Jayden Awender, and Jackson Awender.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Stanton Reformed Church, Stanton, NJ. Interment will be in Fern Knoll Cemetery, Dallas, PA. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with a service at 8:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
