Michael L. Sabbagh

Michael Lewis Sabbagh, 62, of Flemington, NJ, passed away on February 15, 2021 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township NJ. Born on July 30, 1958, in Morristown, NJ, he was the son of the late George and Nancy (Smith) Sabbagh. Michael was raised in New Providence, NJ, where he graduated from New Providence High School in 1976. It was there that he built friendships that would last a lifetime, met his soulmate Kathleen, and excelled in many sports, most notably baseball. After graduation, he attended Coastal Carolina, where he played baseball for four years and earned a bachelor's degree. In 1981, he married his high school sweetheart, Kathleen L. (Marsh) Sabbagh. Soon after they began to start their family and relocated to Flemington, NJ in 1986. Michael was a dedicated father who treasured his family and embraced every moment with them. He was actively involved in all of his children's extracurricular activities, coaching many teams and leaving a lasting impact on his children, their peers, and the community. Michael was happiest when he spent time with his family making memories, especially summer vacations in Long Beach Island. A great golfer, Michael was a member at Copper Hill Country Club in Flemington and enjoyed any chance he got to play the game. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, family member and coach. He was so very loved and will be forever missed. In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his sister, Sandra, and his sister-in-law , Nina, and his brother-in-law, Tom. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Kathleen, his children, Sandra (Bruno), Jennifer (Matthew), and Michael, his grandsons, Bruno, Michael, Joseph, his brother, Douglas (Patricia), sisters, Laura (Paul) and Tracey (Robert), brother in law, Robert (Eloise), sisters-in-law, Christine (Joseph), and Carol (Timothy), as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Please join us from 2:00 until 5:00 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ 08822. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a private family eulogy service prior to the visitation which will be streamed for those who wish to view the service online.
