Michele Donahue

Michele Donahue, age 67, died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. After residing in New York and Sussex County NJ, she has lived in Kingwood Township NJ for many years. Michele was born October 29, 1953 and worked for many years for Condé Nast in the headquarters in New York City, where she was a Purchasing Agent for the company. Michele very much enjoyed the cultural diversity and opportunities that make New York City unique. She and her husband, Robert Atkyns, loved to attend various foreign films that challenged the social barriers that exist in the world. She was particularly fond of those films and projects that expanded the role of women in the workforce as well as in the general population. Often she could be found reading books on contemporary issues that would push the limits on forward-thinking and expression. Michele also enjoyed the theater in New York as well as attending live performances of classical music from world-class and well known symphonies, as well as music in smaller venues that allowed for a more personal experience. She had a deep appreciation for the arts in its many forms and enjoyed its many facets. In addition to her husband, Robert Atkyns, Michele was survived by her dog and loving companion, Cinnamon. Cremation was private and under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
