Mildred H. Abate

Mildred H. Abate, age 88 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on May 5, 2005, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Guttenberg, NJ, July 8, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Hedvica Stanek Tomek. She had formerly resided in Bergenfield, NJ, and Ridgefield Park, NJ. She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Patrick Abate, died in 1979. She is survived by four daughters; Mildred Abate of Glen Gardner, NJ, Patricia Duca of Bergenfield, NJ, Margaret Barnard of Montville, NJ, and Eileen Schettino of Clinton Township, NJ; and four grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10-11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
