Minerva "Minnie" Rivera

***A visitation and memorial service for the late Minnie Rivera is scheduled for Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822*** Minerva “Minnie” Rivera, age 78, of Grapevine, Texas, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 22, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Anasco, Puerto Rico. As a teenager she moved to Harlem where she later met her soulmate, Nano. After living in the Bronx for a while, Minnie and her family moved to South River, NJ and resided there for 23 years until moving to Kissimmee, Florida to enjoy retirement. The past four years Minnie has enjoyed life in Texas with her two daughters and granddaughter. Minnie enjoyed tending to her garden, music, dancing, decorating or shopping. She always welcomed a day walking around the botanical gardens or the zoo. She is predeceased by her loving husband Mariano “Nano” Rivera, her brother Emilio Rivera and her parents Margarita Morales and Emilio Rivera. She is survived by her beloved children, Minerva “Pinky” Bonilla and her husband Cesar of Helmetta, NJ; Jeanne and Dina Rivera of Grapevine, TX; and Mario Rivera and his wife Alison of Flemington, NJ. Her grandchildren, Danielle Redd, Madison Crippen, Jett and Vance Rivera, her great-grandchildren Justin and Taylor Bellotti, her sisters Elba “Penny” O’Leary, Ada Alvarez, Angie Rivera, and Nereida Dreger; and many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
