Miriam Vedanayagam

Miriam Vedanayagam, age 66 years, of Bushkill, PA, died on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, in the Somerset Medical Center, Somerville, NJ.

Born in Clinton, NJ, December 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ruth Golumb. She had formerly resided in Scotch Plains, NJ.

She was an employement counselor for the State of New Jersey until retiring.

A graduate of Rutgers University, she is survived by her husband, Suresh Vedanayagam; a brother, Ronald Golumb of Clinton, NJ; a sister, Cynthia Golumb of Roselle, NJ; and a nephew.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held from 10-11 AM in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
