Mitchel S. Silkotch, Jr.

Mitchel S. Silkotch, Jr., age 73 years, of Bridgewater Township, NJ, died Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. Born in Plainfield, NJ, February 29, 1948, son of the late Mitchel and Frances Petak Silkotch, he had formerly resided in Frenchtown, NJ and Piscataway, NJ. A Piscataway High School graduate, Mitchel worked as a chemist for Akzo Chemicals in New Brunswick, NJ. In his younger years Mitchel was an avid pilot and later became a model airplane enthusiast. In addition to his interest in airplanes, he also enjoyed Corvettes and sailboats. He is pre-deceased by his sister, Patricia Kovacs. Surviving are his beloved wife of forty-six years, Anita Silkotch; two daughters, Sara Silkotch of Bridgewater, NJ and Christine Silkotch of Bolton, VT; one nephew, Stephen Kovacs of Manville, NJ; and a cousin, Stephen Silkotch of Anza, CA.
