N. Virginia Breen, age 92 years, of Flemington, NJ died Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Lebanon, NJ, June 21, 1931, daughter of the late Walter and Norma Magill Apgar, she had resided most of her life in Hunterdon County, with the exception of seven years when she resided in Wheaton, IL. Virginia was a graduate of Clinton High School and was a veteran of the Korean War having served two years in the US Air Force.
Virginia was first employed at the Law Offices of Gebhardt & Kiefer, Clinton, NJ, then was a homemaker for several years while raising her family and eventually, in 1977, she and her late husband founded and co-owned Breen Color Concentrates, in West Amwell Township, NJ.
She was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church for many years.
Virginia was pre-deceased by her husband, Vincent Breen, who died in 1999; a son David Breen, and a granddaughter, Ashley.
Surviving are a daughter, Sheryl (Glen) Spinks of Lebanon, three sons, Dan Breen of Pt. Pleasant, PA, Drew Breen and Donald Breen, both of Flemington, NJ; six grandchildren, Kari, Kirsli, Brock, Taylor, Danny and Corey; and nine great-grandchildren, Kylan, Koldyn, Keegan, Kanon, Porter, Piper, Carter, Arabella, and Scarlet. Virginia also is survived by her two wonderful caregivers over the past several years, Karen Pascal and Joan Williams.
Private family funeral services will be held in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Lebanon, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
