Nancy G. Hutcheson

Nancy G. Hutcheson, age 93, died Monday, January 1, 2024, at her home in Alexandria Township NJ.

Born June 17, 1930, in Wayne NJ, Nancy was the daughter of the late V.J. and Ernestine (Hausamann) Grassey.

Nancy graduated from Elmira College with a bachelor's degree in English and Psychology and worked for many years as a 1st grade teacher in the Binghamton (NY), and later as a Substitute Teacher in the Oakland (NJ) Public School System.

For many years, Nancy travelled to horse shows, where she would compete and later enjoyed observing her children and grandchildren show. She was a founding member and past president of The Horse Park of New Jersey, 626 Route 524, Allentown, NJ 08501, where donations can be made in her memory.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Hutcheson, her son, Stuart Hutcheson, her sister, Anita Hoitsma and her brother, Richard Grassey. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Scussell of Pittstown NJ, her son, John Hutcheson of Glan Allen VA, and her daughter, Eleanor Hutcheson of Pittstown NJ, as well as her three grandchildren, Patrick Hutcheson, Sara Hutcheson, and Rebecca Beets.
