Nancy Jean Bachardy

Nancy Jean Bachardy, age 71 years, of Raritan Township, New Jersey died on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Morristown Medical Center Palliative Care Unit in Morristown, NJ. Born September 12, 1945 in Trenton, New Jersey, Nancy was the daughter of the late John “Jack” and Dorothy Kusant Coleman. She was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County. Nancy was a 1963 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School. For seven years, along with her husband Ted, Nancy owned and managed M&D Bike Shop. She later joined the County of Hunterdon Rutgers Cooperative Extension Center as a secretary for 11 years. Nancy was involved in 4-H as a member and leader her entire life. Most notable was her work as a leader in the twirling and home economic clubs. Nancy was a loving wife to her husband Ted, devoted mother to her three children and proud grandmother to her six grandchildren. She had a love for history – always sharing stories of her family and childhood. Nancy loved to garden, camp, snowmobile and boat – she even had a special knack for water skiing. She was a true Rummy queen, often beating all those who challenged her. Nancy was a woman of incredible faith and strength. She cherished her time with her family and friends and took great pride in hosting memorable Christmas dinners. She is survived by her husband, Theodore Bachardy, daughter Tracy Holcomb and her husband Michael, son Mark Bachardy and his wife Angela, daughter Alicia, sisters Betty Jane Hunt, Joann Vieth and her husband Kenneth and Debi Brenner and her husband Frank, brother John Coleman and his wife Donna and six grand daughters Morgan, Rylie, Vasiliki, Alexandra, Gerasimina and Sofia and many nieces and nephews. Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home will host the visitation on Wednesday, July 5 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hunterdon County 4-H & Agricultural Fair Capital Campaign Fund, P.O.
