Nancy F. Walsh passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024. Born on January 2, 1939 in Hillside, New Jersey, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated community member. Nancy left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Nancy had a distinguished career as the director of employment services at the Center for Educational Advancement in Flemington, New Jersey. She enjoyed interacting with their clients, and she loved helping to organize and registering runners for the CEA Flemington Turkey Trot every Thanksgiving. She started her career with Public Service Electric and Gas in the early 1960s before taking time to be a full-time mother. She later returned to the workforce with the Parker Agency in Flemington, NJ and serving as a substitute teacher for the Flemington-Raritan School District, where she influenced many young minds with her passion for education.
Outside her professional life, Nancy was known for her love of sailing, having spent many cherished moments growing up on the waters of Barnegat Bay, New Jersey. She found joy along the shores of Stone Harbor and Avalon, where she created lasting memories. An active member of the Calvary Episcopal Church in Flemington, Nancy contributed her time and spirit to her community, embodying the values of compassion and service.
Nancy is survived by her loving son, Robert Walsh, and his wife, Beth of Belle Mead, NJ. She was a proud grandmother to Madeline and Alison Walsh, who will carry her memory forward in their lives.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Frank Foote, her mother, Rachel Dick, and her son, Andrew J. Walsh. The legacy of her kindness, dedication, and love will continue to resonate through her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.
