Natalie Paully Ross, age 90 years, passed away January 3, 2017, at her residence in Taylor Village at Pennybyrn at Maryfield in High Point, NC.
Natalie was born in New York City, January 4, 1926, daughter of the late Peter and Victoria Schemick. She married Philip Paully, Sr. in 1946, who predeceased her in 1981. They raised three children who survive her: Christine Mattern (Jamestown, NC), Denise McDermott (Studio City, CA.) and Philip Paully, Jr. (Ringoes, NJ). In 1986 Natalie married Robert Ross, with whom she recently celebrated her 30th wedding anniversary and who survives her.
Natalie was an accomplished woman who completed her bachelor's degree while raising her family and working fulltime. She worked for Congressman Hamilton Fish of New York, and was highly active in Republican politics. She later was Director of Student Financial Aid at Downstate Medical Center in New York City. Natalie was Director of the Brooklyn Christmas Seal organization and the Director of the North Atlantic Region of Soroptimists International. She was internationally known presenter for the Soroptimists and had a wonderful gift for humorous speech-making. Health issues in her later years dimmed the light but did not extinguish her ability to entertain, tell a joke, and make others laugh.
