Natalie C. Whiting, born on December 29, 1945, in Somerset, NJ, peacefully passed away on January 4, 2025, in Hillsborough, NJ, surrounded by the love and warmth she shared throughout her life.
Natalie dedicated many years to educating the youth of her community as a beloved teacher at North Hunterdon High School. She left an indelible mark in the lives of her students, and her artistic talents further enriched the school's environment through the mural she completed, which remains a cherished feature to this day. Natalie's passion for art was evident in her mastery of oils and charcoal, where she found joy in capturing the beauty of nature in her works. She was particularly known for her decorated egg shells, a testament to her creativity and meticulous attention to detail.
A lifelong resident of Hunterdon County, NJ, Natalie cultivated a profound sense of community and fellowship, deeply rooted in her Christian faith. As a dedicated member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Flemington, she actively participated in various church ministries, contributing her time and talents as a member of the Flower Guild and serving as an "Office Angel." One of her most treasured connections was with her Bible Study group, affectionately known as "TATT" (Tuesdays at Ten-Thirty), where she engaged in spiritual growth and camaraderie with her friends.
Natalie found great joy in her hobbies, particularly tending to her beautiful flower garden, which served as a reflection of her nurturing spirit. Many fond memories were created during her years residing in West Amwell Township, where she enjoyed the tranquility of log cabin living alongside her late husband, Gordon "Rusty" Whiting, who preceded her in death in 2013.
She is survived by her loving brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Holly (MacKay) Ziemba of Monroe Township, NJ, and her beloved niece, Shannon Ziemba of New Jersey. In addition, she was predeceased by her parents, H. Richard and Lucia (Zanetti) Ziemba, her husband, Gordon "Rusty" Whiting in 2013, and her brother, Mark Ziemba, who passed away in 2014.
