Neil R. Fant of Flemington died Sept. 18 at Hunterdon Medical Center.
At his bedside were his closest friend, Sue Beam of Flemington and his wife, Diana.
He is survived by his wife, Diana; daughter Linda Slack and her husband Dave of Annandale; son Neil Timothy Fant and his wife Julia of Seattle; and four grandsons, Galen Lichterfeld of Waterville, ME, and Beckett, Hugo, and Finnegan Fant of Seattle. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Callahan Fant.
Neil Raymond Fant was born Sept. 24, 1942 in Hamilton, OH, son of Marie Brune and Roy Fant. He graduated from Hamilton Catholic High School. With an associate of arts degree from Miller Draugan College in Cincinnati, he began a 32-year career at AT&T, where he was a division manager before retiring. He retired in 2011 from Solix, where he held the position of sales vice president and chief operations officer.
He served on the boards of Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity and Hunterdon County Meals on Wheels and was vice president of the board of Rosemont Cemetery.
Arrangements and entombment in Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Annandale, NJ will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
