Nellie Mccreery

Nellie McCreery, age 91, died Monday, February 22, 2016 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Born January 7, 1925, in Neshanic NJ, Nellie was the daughter of the late Peter S. and Iva (Dilts) Emery, Sr. She lived in the Flemington area most of her life. Nellie worked for many years for RCA Corporation in Branchburg NJ and was a long-time member of Three Bridges Reformed Church and the Hillsborough Country Club, where she loved to play golf. As she grew older, she enjoyed playing cards and doing many types of games and puzzles, as well as connecting with many friends and family on social media. In addition to her parents, Nellie was predeceased by her brothers, Peter S. Emery, Jr., Earl D. Emery and Howard M. Emery, her sister, Katherine Hultz, her son, George Toles, as well as her husband, William C. McCreery Jr. in 2007. Nellie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Patricia McCreery, III, of Easton PA and Mesa AZ, her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Skip Tirpok of Saylorsburg PA, her sisters, Mildred Bridges and Doris DeLorenzo, her five grandchildren, Melissa, William IV, Adam, Brooke, and Ryan, as well as her three great grandchildren, Emily, Ariana and Tyler. Cremation and burial in Three Bridges Reformed Church Cemetery are private and under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street in Flemington NJ.
