Norma E. Pollard, age 87, died Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Country Arch Care Center in Union Township, NJ. She has lived in the Hunterdon County area for more than 50 years.
Born May 2, 1932 in Paterson, NJ, Norma was the daughter of the late Albert and Columbia (DeRosa) Vigorita.
Norma received her Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Douglass College and her Masters Degree in Education from Harvard University. She worked as an educator until her children were born and later retired from the New Jersey State Hospital in Trenton NJ.
Norma was a long-time member of the Sergeantsville United Methodist Church, a volunteer at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township NJ, as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Amwell Valley Fire Company in Ringoes NJ.
In addition to her parents, Norma was predeceased by her husband, Donald Pollard, DDS, in 2018. She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Chiera of Cold Spring, NY; a son, Dan Pollard of York, PA; and seven grandchildren.
