Norma J. Lucas, age 84 years, of Bridgewater Township, NJ, formerly of Holland Township and Flemington, NJ died on Sunday, August 26, 2018 in the Bridgeway Care Center, Bridgewater, NJ.
Born in Mansfield, PA on October 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Elizabeth Rhoades Tripp.
Norma was a secretary for Bohren Engineering, Van Cleef Engineering, and retired in 1982 from Heritage Engineering. She also served as a volunteer for many years at the Hunterdon Medical Center.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Lucas, in 2013. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Kathy Lucas, of Readington Township, NJ, and James and Jackie Lucas, also of Readington Township, NJ; two daughters, Jill Coppola and her fiancé, Kent Carpenter, of Clinton Township, NJ, and Judith and her husband, Brian Jones, of Readington Township, NJ; her sister, Ruth Barsnica, of Edison, NJ; sister-in-law, Judy Cole, of Raritan Township, NJ; ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 7 PM in the High Bridge United Methodist Church, 40 Church Street, High Bridge, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
