Norman F.S. Russell

Norman F. S. Russell, age 85 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at his residence.

Born in Haverford, PA, son of the late Norman F. S. and Ella Eisenbrey Russell, he had resided in East

Amwell Township forty-six years.

A l943 graduate of Princeton University, he was a Captain with the United States Army during World War II. A retired banker, he was Vice-President of First Pennsylvania Bank, retiring after thirty-five years there in l98l. Mr. Russell had also served on the Boards of various companies and was Chairman Of The Board of J. T. Hirst & Co., Leesburg, Va.

He was a member of the Sons of Colonial Wars; the Nassau Club of Princeton, NJ; the Bedens Brook Club; the Princeton Club of New York; and the Newcomen Society.

Surviving are his wife, Vivianne Hooppaw Russell; two daughters, Anne Barrett of Athens, Greece, and Barbara Flight of Boston, MA; two sisters, Ella King Torrey of Philadelphia, PA and Grace Wheeler of Bryn Mawr, PA; and three grandchildren, Maria Barrett, Casey Flight and Christopher Flight.

Memorial services will be held Monday, April 3, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in Princeton University Chapel, Princeton, NJ.
