Nunzio Mannino, age 70 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Cinisi, Sicily, August 5, 1939, son of the late Salvatore and Josephine Abbate Mannino, he had resided in Raritan Township since 1985, having formerly lived in Flemington, NJ.
A 1957 graduate of Lambertville High School, Mr. Mannino was a partner in his families restaurant business, Olive & Fig, formerly known as Max's Bistro, a staple on Main Street in Flemington for many years. He also owned and operated The Hair Quarters, Flemington, NJ for over thirty years.
A veteran of the United States Army, he was a Communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ as well as a member of the U.S. Trotting Association.
Surviving are his wife of forty-one years, Frances Maxwell Mannino; a son, Michael R. Mannino of Flemington, NJ; two sisters, Stella Maltese and Connie Soriero, both of Raritan Township, NJ; two brothers, Fred Mannino of East Amwell Township, NJ and Salvatore Mannino of Delaware Township, NJ; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
A brother, Anthony Mannino, pre-deceased him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Family and Friends are asked to meet directly at the church on Friday morning. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
