Born in Hunterdon County, NJ on July 11, 1894, he was the son of the late Arthur Sutphin and Mary Schenk.

Mr. Sutphin was formerly employed by the Old Egg Auction Market in Flemington, NJ.

He was survived by his wife, Viola (Wyckoff) Sutphin.

Interment in Clover Hill Reformed Church Cemetery, Amwell Road, Hillsborough, NJ.
