Orville W. Lambert, age 85 years, died peacefully on September 2, 2011, at the Hunterdon Medical Center with his family at his side.
Born in Sergeantsville, NJ, December 12, 1925, son of the late Frank and Marion Brewer Lambert, he had resided in Hunterdon County all of his life.
He was a bridge repair foremen for twenty-six years for the County of Hunterdon. He loved farming part time, and he was known for his collection of pigs. He was also a United States Army Veteran of World War II serving in Germany.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-three years, Catherine McPherson Lambert; a son, Kenneth Lambert and his wife Judy of Philipsburg, NJ; three daughters, Suzanne Niece and her husband Ken of Flemington, NJ, Bonnie Pepin and her husband Jim of Bordentown, NJ, and Marianne Sanguiliano and her husband Albie of Delaware Township, NJ.
Also surviving are eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Everitt of Ringoes and a brother Thomas Lambert of Stockton, NJ.
He was pre-deceased by two sisters, Doris Culberson, who died in 2000, and Eva Emmons who died in 2011.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ, followed by burial in Sandbrook Cemetery, Sandbrook, NJ. Calling hours will be held Tuesday 5:00-8:00 p.m.
