Pamela Zak Campbell, passed away on November 3, 2024, in Bethlehem, PA, under the compassionate care of St. Luke's Hospice. She was born on September 24, 1960, in Flemington, NJ, daughter of Carolee Voorhees Zak and the late Joseph Anthony Zak, Sr. where her vibrant spirit began its journey and touched the lives of many.
Pamela was a proud graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, class of 1978. Her professional career spanned more than three decades, during which she dedicated over 15 years as a Mortgage Underwriter for a private mortgage company in Morristown, NJ, followed by another 15 years working in the Business Office of HCRHS until her retirement in 2019. Her determination and hard work shone brightly in every endeavor she undertook.
Pamela’s passions were as diverse as her talents. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly her love for the beach, with Island Beach State Park holding a special place in her heart, alongside many cherished trips to Aruba. A memorable highlight of her honeymoon was catching a Pacific Sailfish in Costa Rica, a testament to her adventurous spirit. She relished spending time with her husband, George C. Campbell, IV, of Hellertown, PA, especially during their fly-fishing outings when they embraced the tranquility of nature together.
Her nurturing personality extended to her garden, where she had a green thumb, creating beautiful vegetable and flower gardens that reflected her holistic and organic approach to life. Pamela was also known for her artistic flair; she expressed herself through arts and crafts, knitting, and immersing herself in every book she could find. Her love for music ranged widely, encompassing everything from hard rock to classical selections, often accompanying her leisurely days.
Pamela’s greatest joy came from her family. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Anthony Zak, Sr., as well as her grandparents Arthur & Carol Olsen Voorhees and Carl & Julie Zakrzewski, who will welcome her with open arms in the eternal embrace of love.
Pam is survived by her devoted husband, George; her beloved mother, Carolee V. Zak of Flemington, NJ; her brother, Joseph Anthony Zak, Jr., and his fiancée, Kimberly Guarriello, both from Flemington, NJ; her daughter, Rachel Cozze; and grandson, Chase Andrew Cozze. Pamela also shared her home with her adored fur-babies, Bella and Luna, who brought her endless joy and companionship.
Pamela's legacy will endure through the countless memories she created and the deep love she cultivated. She is remembered for her stylish presence, whether she was elegantly dressed or comfortably tending to her garden in cut-off jeans and gardening gloves. Her daily yoga sessions reflected her commitment to a mindful and wholesome lifestyle, serving as inspiration to those who knew her.
