Patricia Dorothy McAuley, age 68 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at her residence.
Born in Ridgewood, NY, March 28, 1940, she was the daughter of Dorothy Mackissey Burns of Brooklyn, NY, and the late James Burns.
A former teacher, she had previously taught English in Junior High School in Brooklyn, NY. Additionally, for a time she was a Reading Specialist at the Chapel School, Sao Paolo, Brazil and was a Writing Instructor at Raritan Valley Community College.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband of forty-three years, John Thomas McAuley; three sons, Thomas of Glastonbury, CT, James of Stewartsville, NJ and John of New York City, NY; a daughter, Kerry McAuley of Washington, D.C.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
