FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP – Patricia Hall Wengryn, 84, of Pittstown (Franklin Township) passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, November, 3, 2015.
Born in Flemington, July 19, 1931, Patricia (Pat) was the first of two children of Bernice Conkling Hall and Stanley Dean Hall.
She was a 1949 graduate of Flemington High School. She attended Douglass College.
In her youth, Pat was an active Girl Scout and later became a Girl Scout Leader. In 1954, with her husband, John, they started WenHall Farm, a 50-cow herd of Holsteins, in North Branch. In 1969, the dairy was sold and she moved with her family to Pittstown, where they farmed and raised Angus cattle. During the 1970s and early 1980s, she was a volunteer 4-H leader for Hunterdon County. Her hobbies included flower arranging and gardening.
Pat worked as a secretary for many years, including the Somerset and Hunterdon County Soil Conservations Services. In the early 1980’s Pat found her passion…selling real estate. She started at William Spann Real Estate, then Century 21 and finished her real estate career with Weichert Realtors. At Weichert, she received many top salesman awards.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2007. Surviving are a brother and sister-in law, William (Bill) and Marion Hall of Flemington, a daughter, Jacqueline Wengryn of Pittstown; a son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Velma Wengryn of Pleasanton, Iowa; a daughter and a son-in-law, Susan Wengryn Posbergh and Kevin Posbergh of Branchburg; and seven grandchildren, Erin and Chris Posbergh, and Tamara Hatfield, Katie Hewlett, Alison, Sam and Mara Wengryn.
Calling hours will be 3 to 5 PM and 6:30 to 8:30 PM Friday, November 6, at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington. Interment will be private at Prospect Hill Cemetery on Saturday.
