Patricia J. Perkins

d. August 29, 2013

Patricia J. Perkins, age 52 years, of Pittstown, NJ, died on Thursday, August 29, 2013, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Patricia was diagnosed with MS in 1995 and passed away of its complications in 2013 at age 52, just shy of her 21st Wedding Anniversary.

The disease progressed slowly but relentlessly over the years, resulting in hospitalizations, a weakened immune system, and bed confinement during the last two years.

She never lost her enthusiasm for life and the ability to charm all whom she met. As limited as her activites were towards the end, she loved life in her beloved home, with her husband and sweet little dogs.

Succumbing to pneumonia and infections after a brief hospital stay in the ICU, she finally gave up the fight peacefully and gracefully. She was dearly loved and will be missed terribly, but we take comfort in how bravely she endured and truly loved what she had until the end.

Born in Tonawanda, NY, March 6, 1961, she was the daughter of Eugene and Clarisse DePoorter Larson of Woodland Hills, CA.

She was a financial analyst with John Wiley and Sons.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband of twenty-one years, Marvin E. Perkins III; and her siblings: Stuart Larson, David Larson, and Christine Larson-Nitzsche.

Funeral services and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822 or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Delaware Valley Chapter, 30 South 17th Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19103 or online at http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Events/HOM-General?pxfid=353061&fr_id=7541&pg=fund.
